Earth-chan is a sweet anime girl, but she has a problem – people think she’s flat. Poor little Earth-chan has to go around telling folks that she, in truth, is not flat all. Too bad no one ever believes her…
The sage of Earth-chan began on November 30, 2017. Youtube personality Trinimmortal shared a thought on Twitter:
Someone should make an anime where the planets in our Solar System are cute anime girls attending school and there's a running gag where Earth-chan is self conscious about her smaller chest, to which she constantly responds "I-I'M NOT FLAT!"

Earth-chan’s insecurity of being flat stems from the real world conspiracy theory that Earth is a flat disc as opposed to being an oblate spheroid.
But enough science, we are here for the anime memes! Shortly after Trinimmortal Tweet, artist Desempregado-sama drew a quick illustration:

Other artists have jumped on the Earth-chan bandwagon, bringing their own vision to the image-conscious planet. DeviantArt user DatWeirdoWhoLuvsMilk drew Earth-chan as a sickly girl suffering from pollution. Oh, and she is not flat:
And what is life without a little bit of realism?

Seriously, don’t call Earth-chan flat and someone really needs to make this into an anime.
